No one gave Coach Gene Stallings and his underdog Alabama team a chance against the number one-ranked Miami Hurricanes and their Heisman winning quarterback. Someone failed to make this clear to the Crimson Tide.

Alabama dominated the Hurricanes from start to finish, claiming the 1993 national crown—its first since the Bryant era. Perhaps no play represented Alabama’s will to win more than George Teague’s superhuman pursuit and strip of ‘Canes receiver Lamar Thomas. Teague’s effort broke Miami’s spirit.
